Soul House
Hub New Music's debut album, out on New Amsterdam Records, is comprised of a nine-movement work from composer Robert Honstein, who formed a close bond with Hub when he lived and worked in Boston. Each movement represents a unique space within (or nearby) Honstein's childhood home in New Jersey. It's a lovingly constructed 35-minute work that transports listeners to the universally relatable haziness of memory and nostalgia and the power of places.
