Timuçin Şahin
Timuçin Şahin is described as “a nimble guitarist and a scintillating composer” by the New York Times, and Downbeat called his music “very impressive, visceral yet also cerebral and feisty.” We were introduced to Şahin's music through his "Funk Poems for Bird" project, which is a forward-looking homage to Charlie Parker featuring angular, playfully funky, stretched-out music that probes specific strains of Bird’s music and ideas.
