Ritournelles & Mosaïques

Composer and bass player Florent Ghys' latest collection of music is split into two albums. "Ritournelles" is an ambient-leaning collection featuring organic string sounds, where "Mosaïques" is laden with samples and a strong element of collage. Each track on "Mosaïques" has an accompanying video that Ghys' describes as "a literal representation of the musical processes." The music all walks the fine line of accessibility and experimentation, and showcases the composer's sly sense of humor.
