NYC’s longest-running early music series Music Before 1800 has announced its 45th season. On October 6, the NYC-based Baroque band ACRONYM (noted for their style and grace by the New York Times) kicks things off with a program featuring newly-discovered music from the Düben Manuscripts from Sweden’s famous library in Uppsala. Later in October, the Dutch vocal ensemble Cappella Pratensis returns to the series to perform Obrecht’s Missa Maria zart from partbooks with the original notation.
