On May 28, composer and producer Chris Campbell releases Orison – described as a sound prayer and meditation in seven parts – on Innova Recordings. Campbell’s music has been praised as having “elements of post-Minimalism, avant-garde rock, jazz and global-fusion styles that mingle and merge with dreamlike mutability” by the New York Times. On Orison, he utilizes a large ensemble that includes members of St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, The Bad Plus drummer Dave King, and ‘hybrid-music’ violinist Todd Reynolds.
