Boston’s Grammy-nominated string orchestra A Far Cry releases Visions and Variations on September 7 on its own Crier Records label. The album’s three works each offer a journey into many miniature worlds — all colorful, distinct, and complete. Just as A Far Cry strives to honor each musician’s individual voice in the context of something larger, these works contextualize dozens of distinct visions, pulling them together into a wonderful form of unity.
