Ravi Shankar fans will be ecstatic to see this release of a previously unissued live recording from 1968. Recorded at an open-air concert on a hand-held microphone, its sound quality isn't stellar, but the playing is. The disc also includes--somewhat strangely--interviews with audience members, and some fascinating examples of Vedic liturgical chant. This is the first in a new series of archival Shankar recordings.
